The kindness of others

Over the past two days I’ve had two people make me smile, the first was a friend on Twitter who just contacted me to say hello which I thought was really sweet. I’ve been so busy that even when I do go on twitter I whizz through and haven’t spoken to anyone for a while. I have been thinking about her because she had a big birthday at the start of the year and I wanted to make her a present but haven’t got around it to. I know what I want to make, it’s just getting the time to do it but I will make a start soon or it’ll be her next birthday before I get anywhere!

The second person was a woman at the gym who had a conversation with me and wished me a happy Easter, asked if I had kids and generally seemed like a really lovely friendly person. I know this will sound terrible, but I’m a little wary of overly friendly people. I’m so used to being hunkered down getting on with things, especially at the gym so to have someone just strike up a conversation is nice.

On the crochet front, I haven’t crocheted all week but the gym is closed tomorrow with it being Good Friday so I’ll be able to crochet tomorrow night. I’ve started making a Bowser for Tobin and am ploughing through the many many pieces it requires. I need to get it done for him but I may begin on the belated birthday present, suppose I’ll see how I feel.
