Me and my little helper attempted our first recipe from Jamie’s 15 Minute Meals today, we made Squash Soup. Tobin helped me trimming the spring onions and getting the veg ready to go into the processor (which Jack hated and cried as soon as I switched it on). The recipe was very straight forward and the soup has come out well, I’m a little unsure on the texture. I think may need a better stick blender as mine is only a really old cheap one and it doesn’t do a great job.
As a side note, today was the first time I’d ever cooked with chilli! At 30 years old this probably quite bad but I’m a bit of a wimp when it comes to hot food so have never bothered adding chilli to anything I’ve made for fear of it blowing my head off. The soup has just the one chilli in it and that’s about my limit for now.
